Designations and What They Mean!
Realtor®:  A real estate agent becomes a Realtor® when he or she becomes a member of the National Association of Realtors®.   As a member, Realtors®  pledge to follow a strict Code of Ethics and Standard of Practice, which they must adhere to at all times.

At Distinctive Properties we encourage our agents to continuously further their education and expanded their areas of expertise. Taking the time to further their education has made our agents some of the most knowledgeable and experienced agents in the area. Our clients repeat success is reflective of our agent’s continual transactions in today’s real estate market. Real estate transactions today are complex. Having an educated agent who can guide you through the process is key to a successful closing.

Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE)
Realtors® with the CDPE designation have comprehensive training and experience to better deal with the complex issues of today’s roller coaster real estate industry and are knowledgeable of foreclosure avoidance options. Speaking with a well-informed, licensed real estate professional is the best course of action a homeowner in distress can make. Realtor®with their CDPE have the tools to find the best solutions for each of their client’s unique situations. 
Certified Residential Specialist (CRS)
Realtors® with the Certified Residential Specialist certification has earned the highest designation available for sales associates in residential sales. CRS recognizes professional accomplishments in both education and experience.  Only 5% of all Realtors® have the CRS designation. Realtors® with this designation have proven track records, higher level of training, experience, and commitment to make them the best in their industry.
Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES)
Realtors® with the SRES designation have taken courses to further their knowledge, experience, and expertise as a senior real estate specialist.  These Realtors® can help seniors make educated decisions about selling the family home, buying rental property or managing the capital gains and tax consequences when it comes to selling their own home. These Realtors® have the knowledge to guide 50+ year clients through the major financial and physical changes involved with relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home.

Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI)

Realtors® with their GRI designation are national recognized for their dedication to furthering their essential knowledge and skills as a REALTOR®. Agents with this designation have successfully gone through 92 hours of rigorous educational courses. These agents possess tremendous knowledge about residential marketing, cost basis, appreciation methods, investment property, construction requirements, real estate tax concepts, real estate exchanges, capital gains, and various types of mortgage programs.
